McKillip Seeds and Meristem Crop Performance Team Up

02/02/2022

Meristem Crop Performance, Columbus, Ohio and McKillip Seeds, Wabash, Ind., today announced a new dealership agreement to serve farmers in Northcentral Indiana.

Under the new relationship, McKillip Seeds will carry the Meristem Crop Performance product line and become Meristem’s ally in bringing new, innovative crop inputs to Indiana farmers to help them increase yields and improve their return on investment (ROI).

“For nearly 90 years, the McKillip family has been farming, providing seed and serving farmers near Wabash, Indiana,” said Mitch Eviston, Meristem Founder and CEO, in announcing the agreement.  “They know the territory and are exactly the sort of service-oriented leaders we want to work with to reach as many growers as we can with new, high-quality products engineered to boost returns.”

“We’re dedicated to customers who face the same challenges and benefits that farming here brings to all of us,” said Troy McKillip, director at McKillip Seeds. “We’re committed to executing a crop production strategy that includes the most innovative crop inputs: seed, seed treatments, tools, biologicals and crop management applications. Meristem’s products will fit well into our fully-integrated approach to crop production.”

“We want to make sure every kernel, every bean counts,” says Mitch Snyder, McKillip’s Sales and Marketing Manager. “We’re about applying a systems-based approach toward increasing yields, lowering per bushel costs, and effectively improving profitability on your farm. If we didn’t think Meristem could help us with that, we wouldn’t be carrying these products.”

Dennis McKillip, president of McKillip Seeds said teaming with Meristem is another logical step in McKillip’s commitment to continuous improvement in service to local farmers.

“We’ve had four generations of our family learning how to grow crops here – in both good seasons and ones full of adverse challenges,” he said. “Out of that, our advantage is bringing locally-focused, deep knowledge of our soils and growing environments to our customers.” The Meristem team, he said, is like-minded in that they aim to help farmers make the most of every dollar they spend on crop inputs.

“It’s clear to me they are working hard to bring new innovative products to the marketplace, and we look forward to working with them to bring those new solutions to our customers.”
