Jonathan Schneider recently joined Meristem Crop Performance as a sales representative. He and his wife Krissy, and their two children, live in southern Illinois and work on their family’s dairy, hay and row-crop farm.

Jonathan Schneider brings his deep agricultural roots and relationships in southern Illinois to his new role as a sales representative for Meristem Crop Performance.

Growing up on his family’s southern Illinois dairy and row-crop operation set the stage for Schneider’s work ethic and career. He earned Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Agribusiness Economics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Since 2007, Schneider built a successful career in the seed and crop protection industry. He has worked in the areas of sales, business management, and agronomy with Monsanto, Bayer and DEKALB/Asgrow in various regions of the Midwest. Schneider is also a Certified Crop Advisor and contributor to his family’s diversified dairy, grain and hay operation in Washington, St. Clair and Clinton counties in southern Illinois. He and his wife, Krissy, and their two children live in Venedy, Ill.

“I enjoy working with farmers and helping them be successful. The biggest thing is the trust in the relationships that I’ve built up over the years. I grew up on a farm and 90% of my family is still involved in farming,” Schneider said. “Along with everything Meristem has to offer, I love southern Illinois, and I love working with farmers. I am really intrigued about Meristem’s go-to-market strategy and the work Meristem is doing with foliars and biologicals. I have been working with biological products for many years on the dairy farm and I really think that’s where the corn, soybean and wheat industries are going as we see yields increasing.”

From the patented Bio-Capsule™ Technology behind the Hopper Throttle™ MaxStax™ products, to the undeniable yield benefits of products like Upshift® C, Schneider is excited to bring the advantages of Meristem to his customer base.

“Jonathan’s love for farming and farmers sets him up well for success,” said Mitch Eviston, Meristem Founder and CEO. “Those relationships are at the heart of what we do. Paired with Meristem’s industry-leading product portfolio, it truly helps farmers produce more bushels for less. We’re going to see big things happening in southern Illinois.”
