“…it will be exciting to see him amplify the traction we are already getting in Iowa and Minnesota…”

New Regional Director of Sales: Jeff Dilbeck has joined Meristem Crop Performance® with a focus on Iowa and Minnesota.
Veteran agronomic professional Jeff Dilbeck has joined Meristem Crop Performance®, one of the fastest-growing crop input suppliers in America. Dilbeck will serve as Meristem’s Regional Director of Sales for Iowa and Minnesota.
“Jeff is a dynamic and results-oriented leader with more than 20 years of experience serving farmers, managing seed businesses, and driving the adoption of new technology,” said Mitch Eviston, Meristem founder and CEO. “He’s another great addition to our team of all-stars and it will be exciting to see him amplify the traction we are already getting in Iowa and Minnesota.”
Dilbeck grew up near Decatur, Ill. He earned a bachelor’s degree in ag business from Missouri State University followed by a master’s degree in agronomy from the University of Missouri. After three years as a crop consultant for Servi-Tech in Nebraska, Dilbeck spent more than 10 years working for American Cyanamid. He then worked for Monsanto before joining DuPont Pioneer (now Corteva) in 2008, where he worked in various roles, eventually becoming director of commercial business operations for Northern Asia.
In 2015, Dilbeck returned from China to Nebraska and joined Rob-See-Co as head of sales, adding the role of chief commercial officer a few years later. He is also owner and principal of Jack Morgan Farms, LLC in Burr, Neb.
“Meristem represents the future,” Dilbeck said. “When I think about it, my career has covered three different arcs of technology impacting grain yields. When I came out of college and worked for American Cyanamid, hard chemistry had peaked and was on the downturn. Then traits had their great impact on yields, and now we have biologicals and plant growth regulators — this is the next arc of performance that will help growers win more often with bigger yields.”
Dilbeck first experienced Meristem’s Bio-Capsule™ seed fluency delivery system about four years ago and was impressed.
“We did flag studies with the Bio-Capsule, we were getting faster emergence, better stands, getting plants up on day one and day two. When I saw that, I was sold. Those flag studies just don’t lie,” he said. “I’m a seed guy. I’ve managed seed businesses in some way for more than 20 years. Now with Meristem’s biologicals, it’s about taking these new products and making every seed work better.”
