…Veteran Illinois Account Manager is the Latest to Join Meristem’s All-Star Team

Experienced ag account professional Lane Danielson has joined Meristem Crop Performance Group, LLC, one of the fastest-growing crop input suppliers in America. Danielson becomes Meristem’s sales and dealer coach in north-central Illinois, operating out of Bloomington.
“Our business is growing quickly all across America, and we are glad we’ve been able to sign up Lane Danielson to serve more Illinois farmers with more bushels for less,” said Mitch Eviston, Meristem Founder and CEO in announcing the hire. “Lane is an experienced account manager who knows his stuff and we are excited to have him on our growing all-star team.”
Danielson comes to Meristem from GROWMARK, Inc., where he first honed his skills serving dealers by managing operational functions of the crop nutrient business. He then entered the sales ranks as an account manager, rapidly ascending to area sales manager. In the midst of that work experience, he left the big national cooperative to work for Verdesian Life Sciences as an account manager.
“I’ve been watching Meristem Crop Performance and their BIO-CAPSULE® seed fluency delivery system for a while, and it’s clear they are laser focused on helping farmers make the most of every seed placed in the furrow,” said Danielson of his new opportunity. “I’m really excited about digging in and bringing those benefits to more farmers in Illinois.”
Growing up in Bureau County near Princeton, Danielson developed a deep appreciation for agriculture at an early age and continued the pursuit of that passion with agronomy internships and formal education before starting his professional career. After attending community college for two years, Danielson entered Illinois State University where he earned his Bachelor of Applied Science/Agribusiness in 2015.
Sports and fitness have always been important to Danielson, and several years ago, he gained certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer.
“I think the best part about working in agriculture is the ability to continuously learn from others and evolve,” he says. “My time spent servicing growers and retailers in Arizona really gave me a deeper understanding of different cropping systems and has provided me with a more well-rounded perspective to ultimately service growers better back here in the Midwest.”
Lane and his wife Marissa reside in Bloomington along with their 11-month-old son, Whit. Whether it be attending a game, hunting, hiking a trail, or on the golf course, they like to spend as much time outdoors with family as possible. He says he’s really looking forward to bringing more value to Illinois family farms.
“As we have entered a more challenging economic environment in agriculture, I can’t think of a better time to leverage these innovative solutions that Meristem has brought to the market to truly help growers reduce cost and become more efficient,” says Danielson. “Every dollar counts, and the tools that Meristem offers allow farmers to take more ownership over their programs. I’ve seen the success that others are having with Meristem products, and I couldn’t be more excited to partner with growers on their journey to unlocking more bushels for less cost.”
